CMS Design and Coding

We are currently using WordPress as our main CMS software. (example: www.wallteriors.com) Nevertheless, we have utilized Joomla as well. (example: www.konacoffeeandtea.com) Sometimes we program a custom CMS system to create big web stores with admin databases where customers can track their sales and customer lists. (example: www.tightllc.com or www.invinotrading.sk)

A Content Management System (CMS) is a collection of procedures used to manage work flow in a collaborative environment. These procedures can be manual or computer-based. The procedures are designed to:

  1. Allow for a large number of people to contribute to and share stored data
  2. Control access to data, based on user roles. User roles define what information each user can view or edit
  3. Aid in easy storage and retrieval of data
  4. Reduce repetitive duplicate input
  5. Improve the ease of report writing
  6. Improve communication between users

A content management system is a ready-made structure for a web site, usually based on PHP/MySQL, on which you can put your own text and graphics. These websites typically come with all the functionality that most sites will ever need already pre-programmed.
